Sensex Today: Indian benchmarks Sensex and Nifty ended lower on Monday, snapping a two-day winning streak. The decline mirrored weakness across Asian markets following US President Donald Trump’s warning on Friday night of “restrictive" tariffs on China. Although his stance softened by Sunday, investors remained cautious over the possibility of a renewed US–China trade conflict.

The BSE Sensex closed at 82,327.05, down 173.77 points, or 0.21%, while the NSE Nifty50 ended at 25,227.35, down 58 points, or 0.23%.

Among broader indices, the Nifty MidCap 100 edged up 0.11%, while the Nifty SmallCap 100 slipped 0.17%, reflecting mixed trends beyond the large-cap space.
