WASHINGTON — Days after expanding a 2024 health alert about high levels of lead in ground cinnamon , the FDA has added new products to the advisory and is warning customers not to consume even more brands of the spice.

The Food and Drug Administration's warning began in July 2024 and has expanded several times since.

As of this week, more than a dozen packaged ground cinnamon brands sold at outlets including Dollar Tree, Patel Brothers and Eurogrocery stores in several states are impacted.

The latest health alert and voluntary recall impacts HAETAE and Roshni brand ground cinnamon.
