ATLANTA — Jason Esteves' campaign for governor picked up another endorsement this week.
The Democratic former state senator earned the endorsement of President Jimmy Carter's grandson, Jason Carter, the campaign announced Wednesday morning. In a release from the campaign, Carter called Esteves "the strongest candidate to meet this moment and build the coalition Democrats need to win next year."
Carter, who ran for governor unsuccessfully in 2014, was talked about as a potential Democratic contender himself earlier in this cycle -- but he later ruled out a run.
