BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Friday morning, Oct. 17.

Police say the shooting took place around 10:11 a.m. in the 3500 block of 27th Avenue North.

According to Birmingham Police, the person shot is suffering from life-threatening injuries. There are no suspects at this time.
