HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - An Horry County woman is facing charges after consuming “copious amounts of alcohol” before sleeping with an infant, a warrant says.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division charged Carlie Swann, 33, of Conway, with unlawful conduct towards a child on or around Aug. 25, 2025.
According to a warrant, Swann placed the child at an “unreasonable risk of harm” by consuming “a copious amount of alcohol before co-sleeping” with the infant.
A urine sample had Swann’s Blood Alcohol Content at .131%, the warrant says.
SLED issued the warrant; the Horry County Police Department assisted in the investigation.
Swann is currently being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
