KINGSTREE, S.C. (WCSC) - The Kingstree Police Department has arrested and charged a man in connection with an apartment complex shooting that left two people dead.

Montarious McCray, 23, is charged with two counts of murder, criminal conspiracy, possession of a machine gun and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

McCray was formally charged in connection with an incident on June 29, according to Chief Police Kimberly Marlow. He and other co-defendants went to a location and fired gunshots into a crowd gathering outside of King’s Crossing Apartment Complex.

Four people were shot and injured during the incident and two of them died from their injuries.
