The unemployment rate for the region served by the Four County Labour Market Planning Board fell marginally by 0.1 per cent to 4.8 per cent last month.

The Stratford-Bruce Peninsula region sits has second-lowest unemployment rate in the province, behind Northwest Ontario.

In September, the region’s overall population of people 15 or older increased by more than 200 people, whereas the labour force size increased by 1,400 people, resulting in the number of people not in the labour force in the region decreasing by 1,200 people.
