ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WIS) - South Carolina State University has announced new safety changes to its campus nearly two weeks after a deadly on-campus shooting.
President Alexander Conyers announced Thursday the installation of additional fencing along the perimeter of the campus in what they say is an effort to better control pedestrian access.
The university will also increase security patrols along the campus perimeter, especially during events.
“The safety of our students, employees, and guests continues to be a top priority at SC State, and that commitment includes making improvements as needs are identified,” Conyers said.
