LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
A man who killed his mother in 2020 will spend nearly 30 years in prison.
Kendrick Kenemore killed his mother, Tracy Kenemore, on Dec. 16 of that year inside her home on Cane Run Road.
The coroner said she died of blunt force trauma.
Initially, officers found him driving her car, interrogated him and then released him.
LMPD later found Tracy’s DNA on Kendrick Kenemore's clothing and he was arrested.
He pleaded guilty to her murder on Sept. 4. This week, he was sentenced to 26 years behind bars, and he's not eligible for parole.
In court, the judge allowed some leniency letting family members address him directly.
