The Ministry of Transportation says Bamfield Main Road will reopen Oct. 24, but with intermittent closures planned throughout the week due to unexpected weather extending work for crews.
The road was closed after the Mount Underwood Wildfire and since then, crews have been working to retain steep slopes surrounding the road and remove hazardous trees.
After heavy rainfall suspended work over the weekend and more rain in the forecast ahead, Bamfield Main Road’s Oct. 24 reopening will now include intermittent closures throughout the week.
