A major round of maintenance work is scheduled throughout the Hunter this weekend, which will force several changed overnight traffic conditions.

From Belmont to Nelson Bay, Mount Hutton to Williamtown, and points in between, motorists can expect to face delays, in some cases up to five minutes.

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) has advised of these slated locations:

Pacific Highway, Belmont

Work is taking place on the Pacific Highway between Floraville and Bellevue roads at Belmont.

The southbound lanes will be closed one lane at a time to allow improvements to the road surface.

To minimise impacts, it’s planned for Sunday 19 October from 8pm to 5am.

Operators of over-size and/or over-mass (OSOM) vehicles are required to contact 0417 364 984 to gain an escort through the site.
