The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Friday for the ninth time in 10 days, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $4.69.
The average price has dropped 3.9 cents over the past 10 days, including eight-tenths of a cent Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The run began with five consecutive decreases, then was interrupted by an increase of one-tenth of a cent Monday. The run resumed on Tuesday.
The average price is 3.1 cents less than one week ago and 3.4 cents lower than one month ago but 9.2 cents more than one year ago. It has decreased $1.803 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
