JONESBORO, Ga. - The parents of a 6-month-old baby who went missing and was later found dead have been denied bond on most of the charges they are facing.

Antonio Pearce, baby Nnakai Pratt’s father, was arrested Sunday on unrelated drug charges, then charged with multiple counts in connection with his son’s death, including murder and providing false statements to police.

He’d claimed the boy was kidnapped.

On Friday, a judge denied his bond for the aggravated battery, aggravated assault, tampering with evidence, and concealing the death of another charges he is facing. He was given a $10,000 bond for the false statements charge.

Pearce is also facing a murder with malice charge that can only be ruled on by a superior court.

His preliminary hearing was set for Nov. 10.
