Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith made a drastic decision to call off an upcoming divorce trial two years into proceedings.

Per Us Weekly, the 39-year-old British actress’ legal team filed court documents this week to request that an upcoming trial over custody of her and Jackson’s daughter be removed from the court’s calendar.

In the filing, Turner-Smith said she worked out a deal with Jackson, 47, who agreed to figure out a custody deal for their daughter, 5-year-old Juno, outside of the courtroom.

The Queen & Slim actress’ lawyer wrote: “[Turner-Smith and Jackson] are in the process of negotiating a custody judgment. The parties will return to the [a private judge they hired] to resolve any impasses in the proposed custody judgment.”
