There is a strong through line of philanthropy that runs across Cleveland. Local nonprofit organizations are working to find ways to ensure that the next generation of donors are taking their place in that line.
Jillian Frazier, chief development officer of North Coast Community Homes in Cleveland, said that younger donors are looking for opportunities to support organizations that are “real and authentic.” It’s why as an organization they are “always looking for ways to build awareness of what we do and tell the stories of the people that we serve,” she said.
“Those stories help people to know that their donation is actually an investment in people,” Frazier said. “That’s something they can feel good about.”
