TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Hillsborough Pet Resource Center has reached 600% capacity for cats inside their shelter. "We have to get very creative when we get this many cats,” said Chelsea Waldeck, the division director. The shelter has the most feline friends it's maybe ever had. Waldeck says they've had to fill every kennel, office and backroom to hold more than 300 of them.

Friday, the shelter saw a steady stream of adoptions head out the door.

"I was just going to leave then I walked around these kittens and I saw this guy and he stole my heart,” said Stephen Wilson who adopted a black female kitten. “I’m like I don't even like cats - but I want this kitten.” Wilson is one of a few people pouncing on the opportunity to adopt without any fees. He tells Channel 8 he's a veteran and says
