SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Thirty-three years have passed and Lori Ann Decora’s family is still seeking justice.

However, they hope they’re one step closer.

Lori Ann DeCora was a friend, daughter, sister, aunt, and mother.

DeCora was 24 years old in 1992, when she was beaten and stabbed to death at a house party, on Sioux City’s West Side.

There has never been a conviction in the case and justice has never been served, something Lori’s daughter, Kayla Buffalo Chief-Sirom, says their family is hoping to change.

“She deserves justice like anybody else; her life mattered,” said Buffalo Chief-Sirom. “She was my mother, she was a sister, she was an auntie. And just because it’s a cold case doesn’t mean that they can’t come back around and take a look, we want justice; we want somebody to be held
