California gubernatorial candidate Katie Porter is responding to criticism after she threatened to walk out of a recent interview.

During a public appearance Friday in Sacramento hosted by the UC Student and Policy Center, the former congresswoman addressed hundreds of students and community members.

The first part of her Q&A focused on her interview with CBS where she complained that the reporter had asked too many follow-up questions. Porter also faced fallout after another video surfaced from a 2021 interview that showed her berating a staffer.

Other Democratic candidates who are running for governor have been among those who slammed her performance.
