BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- Former Vice President and 2024 democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has taken the stage at the Alabama Theatre.

Thunderous applause rang out as she was introduced onstage by Charlamagne Tha God.

Harris is on a tour of U.S. cities to promote her new book, "107 Days" in which she provides readers with an inside look at the race for the presidency. The book, co-written by Geraldine Brooks, chronicles her time running for president before she was defeated by President Donald Trump.

Following the end of her campaign, some speculated that Harris would run for governor of California in 2026, but she has since stated she wouldn’t run for that office.
