QUINCY (WGEM) - A recent trend of delayed mail has caused frustration among Quincy residents.

Over the last several weeks, Quincy residents have begun noticing that their mail is not showing up.

“I haven’t gotten any mail all week,” Resident McKenzie Decker said.

Other residents explained they have been checking their mailboxes multiple times a day to see if their mail has arrived.

“When you’re looking for certain mail, it’s not there, and it’s supposed to be there, we’re waiting on it,” Resident Butch Ditto said.

USPS did not respond to a comment on why the delay is happening. A former employee said these types of delays are uncommon.

“We had troubles when the weather was bad, but not as many delays as we have now,” Former USPS employee/Quincy resident Joyce Trine explained.
