MICHIGAN, USA — It has been a long time, but West Michigan is expected to be impacted by a storm system this weekend.

Heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds are all anticipated throughout the weekend as a strong fall storm rides into the Great Lakes by Sunday.

The ongoing drought will thankfully have a big dent in it after this weekend is done.

All of West Michigan will see 1-2" of beneficial rain, but some local areas could close in on 3" by Sunday night!

This storm will be an inconvenience more than anything if you have any outdoor weekend plans. However, Saturday will have more dry time than Sunday, as the rainfall on Sunday looks to be a washout.
