HERMON -- The Hermon Hawks remain unbeaten after beating the Nokomis Warriors 27-20 on Friday night.

After taking a 14-12 lead in the first half, the Hawks were back to work, and started a nice drive off with a handoff to Sam Hopkins who gained enough for the first down.

A few snaps later, quarterback Ethan Curtis dropped back to pass, but was immediately pressured by Kobey Almeida, forcing a quick throw that fell incomplete.

But the Hawks kept their foot on the gas, and on a counter play, Dylan Yeo took the handoff all the way to the endzone for the score. Hermon would hold on and narrowly beat the Warriors in a 27-20 score.

Hermon (7-0) will look to finish the regular season undefeated as they face Leavitt Area next Friday, while Nokomis (4-3) will look to get back on track against
