DULUTH, Minn. — In December 2024, Snow Scholars appeared on the hit TV show Shark Tank, where they landed a major investment deal. On Oct. 17, we checked in with two members of the team to learn how the business has grown almost a year later.

Snow Scholars employs college students to clear driveways for residents who need assistance with snow removal. The program gives students a chance to earn income while “shoveling away student debt” and creating meaningful connections in the community.

“Snow Scholars was created for two reasons, and the first reason was to help college students shovel debt and to provide them with money, and the second reason is to help the community,” said Roddy Hood, Twin Cities Operations and Marketing Manager.
