LOS ANGELES -- An other-worldly season for the Milwaukee Brewers, the best in team history in terms of regular season record, came to an end Friday thanks to a man who played like he was from another planet himself.

Shohei Ohtani blasted 3 home runs for the Los Angeles Dodgers and pitched six scoreless innings, allowing just 2 hits and striking out 10, to beat the Brewers 5-1. The Dodgers clinched a second consecutive National League Championship and advanced to the World Series.

The game felt like it was over for the Crew before it even had a chance to begin. Ohtani smoked a leadoff home run off of Jose Quintana that jumpstarted a 3-run first inning for the Dodgers. Ohtani's second home run came in the fourth inning and left the confines of Dodger Stadium.
