After 48 minutes of big-play offense, sudden momentum swings, multiple lead changes and some intermittent defense, the only things separating Linganore and Middletown were a couple of fourth-quarter stops, star running back Bradly Matthews and a key injury.

Matthews was his typically outstanding self for the Lancers and even out-did himself to some extent. The 5-foot-8, 190-pound senior finished with a career-high six touchdowns and played a big role in helping Linganore wear down visiting Middletown for a 56-42 victory Friday night.
