INDIANAPOLIS — The Roncalli Royals, ranked eighth in Class 4A , took down the Class 5A No. 4 East Central Trojans 28-16 in their regular season finale.

East Central entered the game having lost just once all season while Roncalli hoped to finish on a high note despite three losses this season.

From the very beginning, Roncalli looked in control.

Senior quarterback Collin Ash got things started early for the Royals after finding the endzone for a touchdown and then followed it up with the two-point conversion. East Central then struggled on offense, failing to find the endzone throughout the first quarter.

Ash and Roncalli kept things rolling in the second quarter when Ash scored his second rushing touchdown of the game to put the Royals up 15-0. Ash finished the first half 8-for-10 pas
