The Athletic | Chris Kirschner: (subscription required) Between the post-mortem press conferences on Thursday and Brian Cashman’s visit to WFAN yesterday, we’ve gotten some insight into the Yankees’ plans as they look back on the 2025 season and ahead to the offseason. Judging from these comments, it seems that the team will look to prioritize bringing Cody Bellinger back, will aim to give Jasson Domínguez a chance to lock down the left field job (starting with some playing time in winter ball to give him reps in left and from the right side of the plate), and will give Spencer Jones a chance to play his way onto the Opening Day roster in the spring. Additionally, between firings and the managerial hiring circuit, it seems that more changes are coming to the Yankees’ coaching staff.
