VIRGINIA BEACH — Green Run senior running back Charles Jackson III was determined to send Stallions fans home with a win on homecoming.
But for a half, Bayside tried to play spoilers.
The second half, however, would be all Green Run and all Jackson as the Old Dominion commit rushed for 263 yards and two touchdowns to lead the No. 4 Stallions to a 38-14 win over the No. 13 Marlins.
Green Run (8-0) has won 58 games in a row over Beach District opponents and 51 straight during the regular season. And the Stallions pretty much wrapped up their fifth consecutive district title. They play First Colonial (1-7) next week before a bye, then finish the season against Ocean Lakes (2-5).
