Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi urged the BCCI and the Centre to take tips from Afghanistan on prioritising nation over sports after the country withdrew from the tri-series against Pakistan following the death of three cricketers in a cross-border strike.

The swipe was a reference to India playing against Pakistan in the recently concluded Asia Cup, which faced boycott calls on social media following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

"Pakistan establishment is made up of a bunch of cowards who thrive on the blood of their innocent victims and get thrashed at the borders. Shame on them," she said.

"Good to see Afghanistan Cricket Board call off their series matches with Pakistan, maybe BCCI and GoI can take tips on how to prioritise nation over sports," Chaturvedi tweeted.
