LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) - North Laurel hung around with Pulaski County in the first half, but the Maroons shut the Jags down in the second half, winning 49-14.
North Laurel trailed 13-7 in the second frame, but then marched down the field to score, thanks to a QB sneak from Jude McWhorter on fourth and goal. That put the Jaguars up, 14-13.
Pulaski County responded with a scoring drive of their own, ending with a rushing TD from Kasen Brock. A successful two-point conversion resulted in the Maroons leading, 21-14.
Travis Burns’ crew got the ball back late in the first half. That drive culminated with a pitch and catch from Zak Anderson to Winston Ford to make it 28-14.
The Maroons scored 21 unanswered in the second half and shut out the Jags in the process.
