CLEVELAND, Ohio — Glenville’s Tarblooders delivered a dominant 41-0 shutout victory over John Hay during their homecoming weekend, bouncing back from last week’s narrow loss to Archbishop Hoban .

The Tarblooders (5-3), ranked sixth in this week’s cleveland.com Top 25, wasted little time establishing control against the Hornets (4-5), scoring first with 8:45 remaining in the opening quarter. Senior wide receiver Pauly Sadler extended the lead to 14-0 on a long touchdown pass from senior quarterback Arvell Nelson Jr. with 5:33 left in the first quarter.

By halftime, Coach Ted Ginn Sr.’s squad had built a commanding 35-0 advantage. Senior wide receiver Joseph Saffold added the final touchdown with 3:08 remaining in the third quarter to cap the 41-0 victory.
