The leadership carousel in Pakistan cricket shows no signs of slowing down. In the latest twist, Mohammad Rizwan, currently leading the ODI side, may soon face the axe, with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) reportedly considering a change at the helm following Pakistan’s early exit from the Champions Trophy 2025.

With the 2027 ODI World Cup on the horizon, the PCB is expected to take bold decisions, and has emerged as the frontrunner to take over the reins of the 50-over side.
