The iconic South L.A. festival returns October 18 with more than 300 vendors, live entertainment, and free shuttles for attendees.

The Taste of Soul Family Festival will return to Crenshaw Boulevard on October 18 for its 20th anniversary, marking two decades as one of California’s largest free, one-day street festivals and a major cultural celebration in South Los Angeles.

Founded by L.A. Sentinel publisher Danny J. Bakewell Sr., the festival has grown into a cornerstone event highlighting Black-owned food vendors, small businesses, arts, music, and community resources. Millions of attendees have taken part over the years, making the festival a hallmark of cultural pride along the historic Crenshaw corridor.
