At 5 feet 5 and 130 pounds, Kaiton Peralta doesn’t hesitate to flash a smile when asked his height and weight after a career night at Kiggins Bowl for the Skyview High football team.
“I’m on the smaller side,” the senior receiver said, “but that doesn’t stop me.”
On Friday, little could be done to stop Peralta and the Skyview passing attack as a whole in a 42-6 victory over Union in the 4A Greater St. Helens League opener for both teams.
Quarterback Dugan Logue passed for 325 yards on 11 of 17 passing, Peralta and Soren Gibbs each had 100-plus-yard receiving games. The pair combined for 222 yards on seven catches and three touchdowns.
After a 0-4 record through four weeks, Skyview has won its past two games by scoring 40 or more points against Chief Sealth and now the Titans.
