NORFOLK, Va. — A Norfolk woman was convicted Friday of killing a fellow U.S. Navy sailor in 2024, according to the Norfolk Commonwealth Attorney's Office.
According to officials, 22-year-old Nildaliz Flores-Roman was charged with second-degree murder and using a firearm in the commission of a felony in the 2024 shooting death of 28-year-old Petty Officer First Class Katrina Ann Anderson .
The shooting happened after a night out celebrating Anderson’s birthday on March 15. Flores-Roman’s wife and Anderson, both sailors assigned to the USS Mahan, had been out downtown with friends when they returned around 2 a.m. to the couple’s apartment on East Little Creek Road.
