Week 7 is almost in the books, and we’re still buzzing over West Linn’s 38-16 victory over Lake Oswego in a game that highlighted the best that Oregon high school football has to offer to a national audience.

Meanwhile, the Metro League showdown between Jesuit and Mountainside went to the Crusaders 28-23, giving them a huge leg up to regain the title. We had Lincoln win the Battle of the Birds against Ida B. Wells, while Lakeridge rebounded from last week’s close loss to West Linn to down Tualatin .

But there was plenty more action that might have slipped below the radar Friday night.
