The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory at 11:59 a.m. on Saturday valid for Sunday between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. for Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Oregon and Lower Columbia Basin of Oregon.

The weather service comments, “West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” explains the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
