SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Welcome to the weekend! The weather to kick off this weekend will be busier than usual! A cold front is moving across the country, causing a clash of warm and cool air here in the ArkLaTex and areas surrounding us as well. This brings the potential for severe weather for the afternoon and evening hours today!

The general timing for when these storms will be possible is between 12pm and 12am tonight. Damaging winds appear to be the most likely threat, along with possibilities for large hail and flash flooding. However, an isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out of the question.
