The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office responded to two crashes Friday night that it says were linked to criminal activity.
Deputies were first dispatched to Greenbush for a reported domestic disturbance.
Before they arrived, one of the individuals involved left the property, prompting a “be on the lookout” alert to area law enforcement, according to the sheriff’s office .
A short time later, the Old Town Police Department found the vehicle connected to the call and tried to stop it, but the driver failed to stop and eventually crashed into a residence.
When the sheriff’s office learned of the crash, a supervisor headed to the Old Town scene to assist.
While en route with lights and sirens on, the supervisor saw a vehicle ahead that appeared to accelerate instead of pulling over. The
