Holland (28-14 MMA, 15-11 UFC) enters his fifth fight of 2025. He's 2-2 this year, and coming off a unanimous decision loss against Daniel Rodriguez at UFC 318. Following a loss to Reinier de Ridder to kick off the year, Holland beat Gunnar Nelson and Vicente Luque. Malott (12-2-1 MA, 5-1 UFC) will aim to win his third consecutive fight. Following a loss to Neil Magny last January, he bounced back with a decision win over Trevin Giles, followed by a stoppage of Charles Radtke.

The co-main event in Vancouver features a potential welterweight war between Kevin Holland and Mike Malott.

Although I initially came into this fight favoring Malott, I ended up semi-relucantly swaying to the other side after looking further into the matchup.

I've become a bit of a fan of Malott and how he comports himself, but I noticed that he's shown some struggles with straight punches in past performances where his opponent had any semblance of size parity (particularly in his battle with Trevin Giles).

Malott can also be guilty and shifting stance somewhat naked in range, which could give Holland a perfect opportunity to send one home down the pike.

I know Holland had one of his biggest letdown spots to date last time out, but this is traiditionally the kind of matchup he wins.
