EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - An Evansville contractor, first jailed earlier this year on a sexual battery charge, then charged with theft and fraud shortly after, was booked into jail Friday night in another fraud case.

Court records show 44-year-old Ricky Dale Plunkett is again charged with fraud and theft. The case was just opened, but records show the crime happening in July of 2024.

When Plunkett was arrested in other fraud case in February, we reported his self-named company had an expired contractor’s license. Officials said the status changed to inactive due to customer complaints of fraudulent activity and deceptive business practices.

That case and the sexual battery case are, as of now, scheduled to go to trial in March.

Plunkett was released on a $1,000 cash bond.
