The Toronto Raptors have filled their final two-way spot with a familiar, hometown face.

Toronto-born wing A.J. Lawson agreed to a two-way deal with the club, HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto reported on Saturday.

The moves comes after Lawson was waived from the roster along with four other players in the Raptors’ final pre-season cuts on Thursday.

Lawson was converted from a two-way contract to a non-guaranteed standard NBA deal worth $2.4 million over two years on April 11 last season.

The 25-year-old averaged 9.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 26 games for the Raptors last season. He notably scored a career-high 32 points against the Washington Wizards on March 10 and followed with a 28-point performance against the Philadelphia 76ers in Toronto’s next game.
