Four people were arrested and charged with various offences after a break and enter reported last month in Ridgetown.

On Sept. 11, at approximately 5:27 a.m., Chatham-Kent police responded to a commercial business on Main Street West in the East Kent community.

“Through investigation, video surveillance, K9 tracking and municipal CCTV footage, officers learned that a pickup truck had reversed into the storefront windows, causing extensive damage estimated at $60,000,” police stated in a recent release.

“Two individuals were observed exiting the vehicle, entering the business and removing a large quantity of merchandise at approximately $10,000 before fleeing the scene.”

Officers located the suspect’s vehicle and further investigation led officers to a nearby residence in Chatham.
