HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Two teams with similar resumes to this point that have gone in opposite directions of late meet at 3:30 p.m. Saturday inside Joan C. Edwards Stadium when Marshall plays host to Texas State.
The Herd (3-3, 1-1) secured an impressive 48-24 win over Old Dominion last Saturday, while the Bobcats (3-3, 0-2) dropped their second straight one possession contest, falling to Troy in overtime, 48-41.
The contest is serving as Marshall’s Homecoming game.
The teams have never met before on the gridiron and this could be the only team they meet as Texas State departs for the new-look Pac-12 Conference next year.
GJ Kinne is in his third season as the Bobcats’ and has a 19-13 with the program.
