LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- In our Homeless Among Us series, 8 News Now spoke with five homeless people to see why they don't feel seen, heard, or understood.

There's something about sitting around a table. People talk, vent, and share their stories. Whether it's inside four walls or at Molasky Family Park in Las Vegas. When you look around, it can be easy to judge, but at one of the many green tables like this one it's a way into a world only few understand.

Jessie, Joan, and Sonia, who was visibly exhausted when we were interviewing. Then there's Christopher, and then the man with the orange soda. These are five different people, five different stories and all of them are sitting around a green, weathered table marked by graffiti at the park. It's nothing fancy, but that's sort of the point.
