LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A Las Vegas valley local turned a $3 bet into an over $1 million jackpot at a Henderson casino Friday evening.

The lucky valley local, only identified as Gene, bet $3 while playing IGT's Wheel of Fortune Cash Link Big Money at Sunset Station in Henderson and hit the $1,048,675.87 jackpot.

Another local won almost half a million dollars at Palace Station, also on Friday evening.

The local hit a 7 Card straight-flush on the Station Casinos' linked Pai Gow Poker Progressive jackpot for $437,311 and hit the $5,000 Fortune Bonus.
