As the countdown intensifies for the Nuapada Assembly bye-election scheduled for November 11, five candidates have already filed a total of seven nomination papers by the close of nominations on Saturday, October 18.

This early surge signals a competitive race in the constituency. Representatives from major parties and independents are vying for the seat vacated following the resignation of the previous incumbent.

The by-election, announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI), comes amid heightened political activity in Odisha’s Nuapada district.
