Nagaland’s Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio today described the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) merger with Naga People’s Front (NPF) as “historic moment.”
“This is indeed a historic moment as we merge our strength and move forward as one, as we write a new chapter in Naga political history of Nagaland, a chapter that embodies reconciliation, unity and collective strength,” Dr Rio said while addressing the 6th and final General Convention of the NDPP at Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima. Together, we shall strive for a stronger, more prosperous future, he said.
Calling for Naga unity, he said that people must also rise above everything else.
“Our message is crystal clear. Unity is the only way forward,” he said and made a fervent appeal to all party members to continue working
