INDIANAPOLIS — It’s the end of the first quarter for many Indiana schools , and that means parent-teacher conferences are right around the corner.

13News spoke to education expert, Jennifer Brinker, assistant principal at Greenwood Middle School, with advice on how parents can prepare for conferences with teachers.

Mrs. Brinker : Go in as a partner. Conferences are about working together to support your child. Instead of focusing only on grades, think about the “whole picture.” Be curious about how your child is doing academically, socially and emotionally.
