STOCKTON, Iowa ( KCRG /Gray News) - Authorities in Iowa say a driver was caught speeding at nearly 80 mph over the posted speed limit.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, District 12 Trooper Alex Dodd recently stopped a Corvette speeding at 144 mph in a 65 mph zone on Interstate 280 in Scott County.
Dodd reported that the male driver told him that he was “frustrated about work” and another vehicle on the road that day.
Iowa State Patrol shared a picture of the citation along with a reminder to drivers that being frustrated is not an excuse for speeding.
